A Photography Field Trip

Cherry Blossom Phone Wristlet from Recycled Wool and Hemp by Rosy Toes Designs
I will start by saying that these photographs were not taken by me, but by a photographer friend I met recently. She is actually my dental hygienist who also runs a photography business called Morceau Photography out of Tipp City Ohio. If you like what you see, I encourage you to check out her site and give her a call. I personally love her work! My fiber bag and accessory business happened to come up in conversation the other day while I was getting my teeth cleaned and she mentioned that if I ever needed photos taken to let her know. I checked out her site that evening and set up a meeting for the next week. I was looking for lifestyle shots and loved the natural feel of her photos - I felt we'd be a good match.

I needed some lifestyle shots of my new Flora and Fauna Phone Wristlet Collection, and while I love taking my own photos, I was looking for something beyond what I could do. I just don't have all the equipment needed. Or the skills that a professional photographer has. And just didn't have the time. Sometimes it's best to hire others.

We met on a Friday morning at the local coffee place. I showed her my wristlets and we talked about my target market and what was needed. Then she took the wristlets on a little field trip. A few days later, she sent me the photos. I really love how they turned out! We will definitely be working together again. Sometimes it's easy to get into the mode of "I must do it all myself!". I've learned over the years, that sometimes it's best to hire others.
